Share a saved result with a note

Choose between saved evidence and a link that runs a new check.

Sharing results · how-to · public

Checked against v1.241.1 on 2026-11-02 · Source reviewed

Before you start

Complete a supported tool check and review the evidence you intend to disclose. A display filter is not an access boundary or evidence that undisplayed values were removed.

Review the share dialog

  1. After DNS Lookup, select Share.
  2. Add a short note describing the time and question, such as “Pre-launch sample; compare with the approved change request.”
  3. Review Preserve current filter on shared page, checked by default.
  4. Review optional recipient, tags, output scope and any tool-specific lifetime controls.
  5. Select Create Share Link only when the contents are appropriate to disclose. Cancel leaves without creating it.

Saved evidence versus a fresh check

A standard share link presents saved evidence and its note. A Permalink runs the lookup again, so its answers may change. Anyone able to open a standard public share link may see its approved saved contents. Private related work is not included merely because the viewer has a company role.

Limits and recovery

Share creation, recipient delivery and mailbox behavior require separate environment acceptance. This guide does not claim delivery was tested. If creation is unconfirmed, inspect saved work before retrying. Password and one-time secure-note links have different disclosure and destruction behavior; do not use them as practice examples.

Verification scope: Current form labels, registry and source reviewed; live provider, mailbox, saved-work lifecycle and host acceptance remain separate.
