Before you start
Obtain an export from the DNS provider and the destination provider's requirements. Preserve the original separately. A public snapshot is not a backup of the provider's complete configuration.
Review the zone
Use DNS Zone Validator to inspect a text zone for the destination provider. Review the upload, destination, validation, suggested fixes, recheck and download steps before accepting a changed file. The wizard describes its session as private to the tab and lost on refresh.
Compare with live records
Use DNS Zone File Compare to compare the zone against live DNS. Review Comparison Focus and comparison rules. A TTL-only difference and a missing mail record need different decisions. Resolve each material difference against the approved plan.
Plan the migration
DNS Migration Readiness collects intended nameservers and records into a checklist. Entering a cutover date does not schedule the change. These tools do not apply changes to your DNS provider.
If validation is incomplete
Keep the original export and exact reported line or record. Check supported input and provider requirements. Full provider import and migration acceptance are outside this source review; use an isolated approved fixture before a real cutover.
